Jean Bird (née Coleman)

The death has occurred of Jean BIRD (née Coleman), Athy, Kildare / Carlow Town, Carlow.

Jean Bird (née Coleman), Cullenagh, Ballylynan, Athy, Co Kildare and formerly Dublin Street, Carlow, January 21 2026 at Midland Regional Hospital, Portloaise, surrounded by her loving family.

Beloved wife of the late Frank and much loved mother of Kate and Ali. Sadly missed by her loving daughters, brother Walter, son-in-law Feargal, adored grandchildren Con and Éabha, niece Joy, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousin Caroline, nephews, nieces, relatives, friends and all the animals she loved and cared for.

Reposing in R. Healy & Son Funeral Home Pollerton Castle, Carlow R93 H308 on Friday evening (Jan 23) from 6pm to 8.30pm.

Funeral Service on Saturday at 10.30am in Newlands Cross Crematorium, Dublin followed by cremation.

Attracta Corcoran (née Blanchfield)

The death has occurred of Attracta Corcoran (née Blanchfield), Emo, Laois / Athy, Kildare.

Attracta passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on the 22nd of January in the care of the wonderful staff at the Midlands hospital Tullamore.

Predeceased by her husband John.

Much loved mother of Hilda and Declan.

Sadly missed by her partner Edward, her children, son-in-law Jimmy and daughter-in-law Tina, grandchildren, Oisin, Fionn, Mella, Neasa and Luisne, her sisters Cathleen, Maureen, Brigidín, Eithne, Eimer, Fiona and the late Reiltín and Fidelma, her brothers Fergal, Conleth, Felim and the late Seamus, Aiden and Tiernan brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law nieces, nephews and many friends.

Rest In Peace.

Reposing at her daughter Hilda's residence Emo, R32TD98 on Friday evening from 5pm to 7:30pm. Recital of the Rosary at 7pm.

Funeral Mass on Saturday morning at 11am to St. Paul's Church, Emo. Followed by burial afterwards in the new cemetery, Emo.

Michael (Mick) Devine

The death has occurred of Michael (Mick) Devine, Oughterard, Ardclough, Kildare / Kill, Kildare.

Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family in the exceptional care of the staff at Naas General Hospital.

Beloved husband of the late Essie, loving dad of Jeremy, Derek and Anna-Maria and brother of the late Ann and Marie.

Mick will be sadly missed by his loving children, grandchildren James, Leah, Seán, Jack, Alex-Anne and Lucy-Kate, daughter-in-law Annelise, son-in-law John, nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and neighbours.

Reposing at the family home on Friday January 23 from 4pm to 7pm with Rosary Prayers at 6:30pm.

Funeral on Saturday January 24 with Requiem Mass at 10am in St. Brigid’s Church, Kill, followed by burial at St. Corban’s Cemetery, Naas.

Mary Kelly (née Ryan)

The death has occurred of Mary Kelly (née Ryan), Boley, Ballylinan, Laois / Athy, Kildare.

The death has occurred of Mary Kelly (née Ryan) of Boley, Ballylinan, Athy, Co. Laois.
She passed away on Tuesday, January 20 2026 at Portlaoise Hospital.
Mary is missed by her Son Ken and her three grandchildren, her Sister Rita and Nephew PJ.

May her soul rest in peace.

Mary's funeral will arrive to St. Lazerian's Church, Leighlinbridge on Friday 23 for 11am Requiem Mass. Burial afterwards in St. Lazerian's cemetery.

Breon O'Connor

The death has occurred of Breon O'CONNOR, Eadestown, Kildare.

O’Connor (Eadestown) - January 20, 2026, (peacefully), surrounded by his loving family, at Naas General Hospital.

Breon, beloved husband of Margaret and dear father of Eoin and Jennifer; Sadly missed by his loving wife, son, daughter, sisters Angeline and Betty, daughter-in-law Louise, brothers-in-law Tom, Fergus and Martin, grandchildren Ryan, Jamie, Ellie, Ava and Pippa, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing on Friday from 5pm to 7pm at Murphy Brothers Funeral Home, 55 South Main Street, Naas, W91 HX90.

Removal on Saturday to Newlands Cross Crematorium arriving for 1.30pm Service.
