LATEST: Kildare hotel gets green light for spa and extra bedrooms

The approved development consists of a two-storey extension providing 25 additional hotel bedrooms, along with office space and laundry stores

Planning permission has been granted for a €7.1 million hotel and spa extension at The Club at Goffs Greenhills in Kill, Co. Kildare.

Planning permission has been granted for a €7.1 million hotel and spa extension at The Club at Goffs Greenhills in Kill, Co. Kildare.

The approved development consists of a two-storey extension providing 25 additional hotel bedrooms, along with office space and laundry stores.

A single-storey extension will also be constructed to expand the existing reception area, including three meeting rooms, an office and toilet facilities.

In addition, a separate single-storey stand-alone spa building is proposed. The spa will include a sauna, steam room, swimming pool, treatment rooms, changing and relaxation areas, a lounge and a plant room.

Bedroom balconies are planned on the south-east and north-west elevations of the hotel extension.

The development includes new landscaped areas, a fire tender access route, 30 additional car parking spaces, bicycle parking and an operational vehicle parking and deliveries yard. Access to the site will continue to be provided via the existing access road from the adjoining public road.

The planning application was accompanied by an Appropriate Assessment Screening Report, a Biodiversity Statement and an Arboricultural Impact Assessment Report.

The applicant is Kildare Hotel Opportunities Ltd.

The project was designed by De Blacam & Meagher Architects.

Planning permission was granted on January 15, 2026, following the submission of the application in May 2025.
