BREAKING: Pedestrian dies after being struck by bus on N7 in Kildare

Gardaí are investigating a fatal road traffic collision that occurred on the N7 motorway eastbound, at Kill, Co. Kildare this afternoon Saturday 1st November, 2025 at approximately 3.30pm.

The collision occurred between junction 8 and junction 7 eastbound on the N7 motorway and involved a bus and a pedestrian. A male pedestrian, aged in his 30s was seriously injured and taken to Tallaght University Hospital. He later passed away this evening as a result of the collision. A post mortem will take place in due course.

The male driver (aged in his 30s) of the bus was uninjured and two passengers received non-life threatening injuries.

The N7 motorway between junction 8 and junction 7 eastbound is currently closed pending a technical examination of the scene by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. The road will remain closed overnight and diversions are in place.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.

Gardaí are also appealing for any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) who were travelling in the area at the time of the collision to make this footage available to Gardaí.
