House may be demolished to make Kildare street safer

Kildare County Council may demolish the property
A long-standing house in Naas town centre may be knocked to the ground to make access to a nearby street safer.
Kildare County Council has been asked if there are plans to demolish the cottage on Basin Street.
The dwelling is the last one on the street and is closest to the main street.
Cllr Fintan Brett has asked KCC about its intentions and if it proposes to knock it down to “allow safe one-way access to Abbey Street.”
The property is owned by KCC.
