Later this month, yoga teacher Tara Thompson special, donation-based yoga event at Happy Space & Co, which is located on Eyre Street in Newbridge.

As explained by Tara, Women’s Aid recently had to shut down their Live Chat service — "a safe, anonymous way for women to ask for help, often for the very first time" — due to lack of funding.

And although she insisted that the charity is still here for survivors, Tara further said: "This class is my soft response to that [the closure of the Live Chat service] and to try to raise essential funds for an incredible charity.

"We’ll begin with an hour of gentle, trauma-informed yoga, followed by an hour of deeply restful Yoga Nidra — [a] space to breathe, feel, and restore."

According to Tara, this yoga session will be open to all levels and all will be welcome.

She added: "If you can’t make it but would like to support, even the smallest donation helps."
