University College Dublin has applied to Kildare County Council for planning permission for a €5.8m Nutrition Lab Building in Celbridge, Kildare.
The address of the proposed site is UCD Lyons Farm, Lyons Estate, Celbridge, Co Kildare.
According to Construction Information Services (CIS), a planning application was submitted by University College Dublin on August 1 2025.

The proposed plans comprise of the demolition of an existing farm shed, an existing Nutrition Lab building, two existing silos, an existing plinth, and a bay window on the existing compound, totalling 1,604 sqm GFA.
The plans also include the construction of a two-storey 'UCD FBD Agricultural Science Centre', measuring at 2,037 sqm GFA, to include labs, teaching labs, classrooms, and study areas which will connect to the existing AgTech Building which adjoins the subject site.
The use of the building is associated with the existing use of the farm as an educational facility.
There is to be relocation of six car parking spaces from the existing car park to maintain a total of 48 car parking spaces.
Plans also include the relocation of the existing AC unit enclosure on the subject site to roof level of the new proposed building, as well as the provision of 20 bicycle parking spaces to serve the development.
There is also to be provision of an attenuation pond and percolation area, and all associated site development works including landscaping and servicing.
The architect for the project is RKD Architects.
