No more water taps for this Kildare cemetery

St Corban's Cemetery, Naas

No more water taps are to be provided at the parish cemetery in Naas.

Cllr Ger Dunne asked for additional taps at Saint Corban's Cemetery “where at present there are three taps and all are positioned at the top of each section (of the cemetery).”

He said the extra taps would be beneficial for older people visiting the burial ground and who need to carry water to graves some distance from the existing taps.

However, according to Kildare County Council the existing taps are deemed to be sufficient. KCC also pointed out that the installation of additional taps will come at a cost and money for this not readily available.

Cllr Dunne responded that he would like this to be costed by KCC.
