Kildare business owner ‘wasn’t only a boss — he was a mentor and also a great friend’
A County Kildare business has paid tribute to its late owner by vowing "to try and fulfil" his legacy.
The business made reference to Vivian Carroll, the later owner of both Judge Roy Beans and Harrigans Bar and Grill in Newbridge, who died suddenly earlier this month.
His death prompted shock and sadness across the town and beyond, and both businesses announced a temporary closure in honour of the late Mr Carroll, who was laid to rest on Saturday, February 7 last.
Judge Roy Beans eventually reopened on Wednesday, February 11 last, and it also issued a heartfelt statement to the public following Mr Carroll's death.
And now, Judge Roy Beans has paid another, more in-depth tribute to "The Boss": the late Vivian Carroll.
Taking to social media, the business said: "Thanks to everyone for all of your overwhelming support during this difficult time.
"He wasn’t only a boss — he was a mentor and also a great friend to all the staff, but also [to] every customer that walked through the door.
"We have no words to describe how much he will be missed, in work and outside of it.
"We will continue to try and fulfil Vivian’s legacy… very big boots to fill!"
Judge Roy Beans also attached a number of photographs and videos of the late Vivian Carroll, along with the following sentiment: "Here are a few memories to remember our main man, we love you always Viv."
