A women's group in County Kildare recently took it upon themselves to create 100 hats for premature babies.

The group is based in Newbridge Family Resource Centre (FRC), and the centre itself took to social media to give details about the charitable deed.

Newbridge FRC said: "The amazing women from our Women's Group at the NFRC, have been busy making another 100 hats for premature babies which will be sent to The Coombe Hospital in Dublin.

"They have made over 200 hats so far for premature babies and will continue to make plenty more for maternity hospitals around Ireland."

The centre added: "Well done ladies, keep up the good work!"

Further information about Newbridge FRC can be found on its official Facebook page.
