FBD Hotels & Resorts Saturday Series at The Curragh continues on four exciting August Saturdays

Under starter’s orders as the first of race day of the FBD Hotels & Resorts Saturday Series at The Curragh got underway on Saturday, August 10. This exciting new Series will take place across four Saturdays 10, 17, 24 and 31 in August featuring top class racing, music and family entertainment over the month. One hotel within the FBD Hotels & Resorts portfolio will partner the event and sponsor a race each week. The first day featured the FBD Hotels & Resorts Heritage Hotel Phoenix Stakes Group 1 and this coming Saturday the 17 will feature the FBD Hotels & Resorts Killashee Hotel Handicap at 2.15pm. The Comer Group International St Leger Trial G3 is off at 4.35pm.

The schedule is as follows:

Saturday August 10     The Heritage, Co Laois - Keeneland Phoenix Stakes Race Day                

Saturday August 17     Killashee Hotel, Co Kildare - Irish St Leger Trial Race Day

Saturday August 24     Castleknock Hotel, Co Dublin - Future Champions Race Day

Saturday August 31     Faithlegg, Co Waterford - Pat Smullen Cancer Trials Ireland Race Day

With a summery party atmosphere each Saturday of the Series features an afternoon of racing starting at 1.45pm with a race card of 8 races, the last at 5.40pm. With entertainment for all the family, a choice of food and drink options, and the opportunity to win luxury weekends away to your choice of FBD hotels. A kid’s zone will be in place with free activities for younger racegoers and the race days will have an eclectic mix of music across the whole month.
