The death has occurred of Alex Lawes, Stoneybatter, Dublin / Inchicore, Dublin / Celbridge, Kildare.
Alex Lawes (Stoneybatter, Dublin 7 and formerly of Inchicore and Celbridge) passed away March 22nd 2026.
Brewer, Publican, Musician and Captain. Co-founder of both Whiplash and Fidelity.
Beloved brother to Eva and dear son of the late Dympna and Gerry.
Our lives will never be the same at the sudden loss of this wonderfully kind, talented and charming man. Generous in every sense of the word, brilliantly funny and a creative genius.
Deeply missed by his loving sister Eva, brother-in-law Colin, his niece Dolly whom he adored and his dog Brettsie who was a joy in his life.
Also sadly missed by aunts and uncles, cousins and extended family, work family in Whiplash and Fidelity Bar and his vast circle of friends and neighbours.

Pat McGann
The death has occurred of Pat McGann, Lakeside Park, Newbridge, Kildare / Caragh, Kildare.
Pat McGann, Lakeside Park, Newbridge, Co. Kildare. Formerly Caragh, Co. Kildare. Peacefully, March 25 2026, at home.
Pre deceased by his parents Peter and Anne. Pat will be sadly missed by his loving wife Joan, daughter Christina and her partner Garry, grandchildren Jessica, Rebecca, Gracie, Dylan and Kai, sisters Teresa and Ann, brothers and sisters in law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.
May Pat Rest In Peace.
Reposing at his family home on Sunday (29th March) from 2pm with prayers at 6pm. Removal on Monday morning to arrive at St. Conleths Parish Church, Newbridge for requiem Mass at 11am, followed by burial in St. Conleths cemetery, Newbridge.

David (Dave) Whiteley
The death has occurred of David (Dave) Whiteley, Clondalkin, Dublin / Newbridge, Kildare.
With a heavy heart, we would like to announce that David (Dave) Whiteley passed away suddenly on Tuesday, March 10 2026. Formerly of Newbridge, Kildare, and now Clondalkin, Dublin, Dave will be remembered and missed by his loving family and friends.
He was a beloved husband to wife and best friend, Tracey. Dave will be remembered as a loving father to his children Zoe and Emma and stepchildren Gavin and Claire.
Predeceased by his beloved parents Philomena and Tom. He will be missed by his brothers; Thomas, Patrick, Joseph, Paul, Alan and John.
He will also live in the memory of his many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
A kind-hearted man who helped many in his local communities, Dave will be missed by his many friends in Clondalkin, Newbridge, Ireland, and his favourite place, Lanzarote.
May he Rest in Peace.
Reposing at the Brian McElroy Funeral Home, Monastery Road, Clondalkin Village on Friday (March 27) from 5pm to 7pm. Funeral service will take place on Saturday (March 28) at 9am at the Temple, Newlands Cross followed by burial at St. Conleth’s Cemetery, Newbridge, Co. Kildare.
