The late Helen Leonard (née Waldron)
Tributes have been paid to a Kildare woman who passed recently, fondly remembered as a “wonderful lady.”
Helen Leonard (née Waldron), Celbridge, Co Kildare and fomermly of Ballyhaunis, Co Mayo, died peacefully on February 14 last, surrounded by her loving family and in the excellent care of the staff at Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown.
Helen is the beloved wife of the late Hugh and much loved mother of Marie, John and Louise and a cherished nanny of Rebecca, Emmet, Sean, Anna, Joe, Cúla, Rosie and Laoise and great grandmother of Mae.
She is sadly missed by her loving son, daughters, sister Bridie, brother John, grandchildren, great-grandchild, sons-in-law Eoin and Rossa, daughter-in-law Siobhan, the extended Waldron and Leonard families, neighbours and friends.
May she rest in peace.

Reposing at her residence (W23 YE18) on Monday evening (February 16) between 4 pm and 7 pm. Removal on Tuesday morning (February 17) to St. Patrick’s Church, Celbridge arriving for Funeral Mass at 12 noon followed by burial in Donacomper Cemetery.

Tributes paid to Helen on RIP.ie include: “Our deepest sympathies to Marie, John, Louise and family on the sad news of your dear Mam’s passing. Helen was a wonderful lady, we have lots of fond memories of her at family events over the years. May she rest in peace.”
And: “Sincere condolences to Marie & all the family on Helen's passing. May she rest in peace.”
While another mourner wrote: “Please accept our sincerest condolences Marie and all the Leonard family on the passing of your beloved mother Helen. Be assured you will all be in our thoughts and prayers at this very sad and difficult time. May Helen rest in peace in her homeland in Heaven.”
And another added: “Sincere Condolences to Marie, John, Louise & the extended Leonard family on hearing of your Dear Mums passing. Thinking of you all at this difficult time, may the many years of wonderful memories, help get your through this difficult time. May Helen's Gentle Soul Rest in Peace.”
