Heartfelt tributes have been paid to a Kildare “gentleman” who passed earlier this week.
Denis Flood - Loughlion Green, Kildare Town, Co. Kildare and formerly Fontstown, Athy, Co. Kildare – passed peacefully on February 4 2026, at St. Brigid's Hospice, The Curragh, surrounded by his loving family.
Denis is predeceased by his parents Jim and Louise, and his brother Des.
He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Anne, children Niamh, Eamonn, Michael and their mother Monica, son in law John, daughters in law Mary and Rachel, grandchildren Darragh, Killian, Dean, Ryan, Sean, James, Ella and Mia, brothers John and Louie, sisters Mary Jo, and Nuala, brothers and sisters in law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.
May Denis Rest In Peace.
Reposing at McWeys funeral home, Abbeyview, Kildare Town from 5pm on Friday (February 6) concluding with Rosary at 7pm.
The removal will take place by Glennons Funeral Directors on Saturday morning to arrive at The Carmelites Church, Kildare Town for Requiem Mass at 11.30am.
Burial afterwards in St. Conleths Cemetery, Kildare Town. Denis' funeral mass will be live streamed through the webstream link below.
