RIP: Tributes paid to 'one of life's true gentlemen' from Kildare

The late Frank Fogarty

Heartfelt tributes have poured in following the passing of 'one of life's true gentlemen', Frank Fogarty from Newbridge, Kildare.

Fogarty Frank (Sarsfields Drive, Newbridge, Co. Kildare and late of Fortal, Birr, Co. Offaly) Retired BQMS, The Curragh – passed on January 23 2026 surrounded by his loving family.

Frank is predeceased by his brothers and sisters, mother and father.

He is sadly missed by his loving wife Ann, daughter Caroline, sons Richard and Mark, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandchildren and their partners, great-grandchild, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.

May Frank rest in peace.

Frank will be reposing at Anderson & Leahy's Funeral Home, Henry Street, Newbridge on Monday from 4pm with prayers at 7pm.

The removal will take place by Anderson and Leahy Funeral Directors from his residence on Tuesday morning to arrive at St. Conleth's Parish Church for 11am Mass.

Funeral afterwards to St. Conleth's Cemetery, Newbridge.

Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired ,to the Friends of Naas Hospital - CCU Ward.

Tributes paid to Frank on RIP.ie include: “Anne, Caroline, Richard and Mark. You were all great neighbours throughout the years. Frank was one of life’s true gentlemen. May he rest in peace. Take care of each other.”

And: “Ann, Caroline, Richard, Mark, extended family and friends, we are so sorry to hear of Frank's passing. Thinking of you all at this sad time. Rest in peace Frank.”

While another mourner wrote: “Ritchie - sincere condolences on the passing of your father Frank. We are thinking of you and your family at this very sad time.”

And another added: “Our Deepest Sympathy to his wife Ann, Daughter Caroline, Sons Richard and Mark ,Grand Children. Devoted husband and Father. Fly high with the Angels, you will be sadly missed Frank.”
