The late Patrick (Pat) Bracken
A Maynooth, Co Kildare man has been fondly remembered for his 'sweet smile' and his 'kindest welcoming heart.'
Patrick (Pat) Bracken - Maynooth and formerly of Courtlands, Drumcondra, Dublin 9 – passed peacefully on December 17 2025 in Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown, surrounded by his loving family.
Pat is predeceased by his parents Kathleen and William, sisters Sr. Colette, Heather and Adrienne, brothers Liam and Baby Brendan.
He is deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving and devoted wife Ann, sons Damian, Noel and Declan and especially his daughter Ann, adored grandsons Stephen, Jack, Peter and Killian, daughters-in-law Mary Frances, Evengeline and Anne, his daughter Ann's partner Declan, sister-in-law Eilish, brother-in-law Paddy, nieces, nephews, extended family and large circle of friends.

Pat will be reposing at Oliver Reilly's Funeral Home, Leinster St., Maynooth, Co. Kildare, (W23V99E) on Sunday (Dec. 21) from 5pm - 8pm, with evening prayers at 7:30pm.
The removal will take place from Oliver Reilly's Funeral Home, on Monday (Dec. 22) at approximately 9:30am to arrive at Corpus Christi Church, Drumcondra for 11am Funeral Mass, followed by burial in Laraghbryan Cemetery, Maynooth, Co. Kildare.
Pat's family would like to express their sincere thanks and gratitude to the following for their tender care and professionalism in looking after Pat: the staff in The Residence Nursing Home, Maynooth, The Maple, Elm and Rowan Wards in Blanchardstown Hospital, Saint Elizabeth's Ward in the Mater Private Hospital. Thank you all.

We met Patrick some years back during Noel and Evangeline’s wedding. We will never forget his sweet smile and his kindest welcoming heart. Our sincerest condolences go out to his family, friends, and all who knew him. May his memory be a source of comfort, and may those who mourn find strength, peace, and support during this difficult time.”
And: “Sincere sympathy to you Ann and family and extended families on Pat's passing. A great man and gentleman and a pleasure to meet always. I first met Pat 60 odd years or so when we were both members of the Gardai. Never changed in personality. The light of heaven to you my friend. Miss you. R.I.P.”
