'A lovely man loved by all who knew him' – tributes paid to Kildare man who recently passed

A Celbridge, Co Kildare man who passed recently has been fondly remembered as 'a lovely man loved by all who knew him.'

Joseph (Joe) Doyle - Celbridge, Kildare / Carnlough Road, Cabra West, Dublin, passed peacefully on December 14 last.

Joe is the beloved husband of Geraldine and much-loved father of Louise and a devoted grandfather of Lily, Katie and Evie.

He is predeceased by his parents Patsy and Kathleen, brothers Paddy and Tony and sisters Lena and Mary; sadly missed by his loving family, son-in-law Ken, sister Phil, brother Brendan, brother-in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

May he rest in peace.

Joe will be reposing at his home on Thursday evening (December 18) between 5pm and 7pm. The removal will take place on Friday morning (December 19) to St. Patrick’s Church, Celbridge arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am followed by burial in Donacomper Cemetery.

Tributes paid to Joe on RIP.ie include: “Louise and family, we are very sorry to hear of the loss of your beloved Dad. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this very sad time. May your Dad rest in peace.”

And: “Geraldine and Louise, so sorry to hear of Joe's passing, he was a lovely man loved by all who knew him x. Praying for strength to get you all through this very sad time. To live in the hearts and minds of those left behind is not to die x. We will meet again somewhere over the rainbow x. What a reunion that will be x. Rest in perfect peace in the arms of the angels, Joe.”

While another mourner wrote: “Joe coached my football team at Ballyoulster for many years. A really competitive guy but he never lost sight of the fun that football was. Thoughts with his family.”

And another added: “Ger and Louise, So sorry to hear the sad news of Joe's passing. He was truly a great friend loved by all. A friendship developed over 45 years. One of the original 300 Shamrock Rovers supporters, his second home. Also a true Dublin fan. I will miss you good buddy your struggle is over. Lay peacefully with family members who went ahead to light the way for you to follow.”
