Tributes paid to a 'beautiful, gentle & kind lady' from Kildare

A Naas, Co Kildare woman who passed this week has been fondly remembered as a 'beautiful, gentle and kind lady.'

Anne Marie McBennett passed unexpectedly on December 9 2025 at Naas General Hospital.

Anne Marie, beloved wife of Damien and dear mother of Leigh and Kayden.

She is sadly missed by her loving husband, sons, father Pat, mother Mary, brother Patrick, sisters Denise and Emma, uncles, aunts, father-in-law Stephen, mother-in-law Mary, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Anne Marie will be reposing on Sunday from 3pm to 5pm, with Prayers at 4:30pm at Murphy Brothers Funeral Home, Church Lane, Naas, W91 VY71.

The removal will take place on Monday to the Church of Our Lady and St. David, Naas arriving for 10am Mass.

Funeral immediately afterwards to Newlands Cross Crematorium.

Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to The Friends of Naas Hospital. House private please.

Tributes paid to Ann Marie on RIP.ie this week include: “My sincere condolences to all of Ann Marie's family & extended family. I'm so saddened to hear of Anne Marie's passing. I have very fond memories of Anne Marie when she worked in Allen Area CEP. She was a beautiful, gentle & kind lady. May her gentle soul Rest in Peace.”

And: “So sorry Mary, Pat and all Anne Marie's family at this very difficult time. May she rest in peace.”

While another mourner wrote: “Deeply shocked & saddened to hear of Anne Marie’s passing - a wonderful woman who’ll be missed by so many. Thinking of you all Mary, Pat, Emma, Patrick & Denise, & of Anne Marie’s husband & children. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam.”

And another added: “My deepest sympathies to Uncle Pat, Auntie Mary, Denise, Patrick, Emma and extended family. So sorry to hear of Anne Marie's untimely passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.”
