Four people on trolleys at Naas Hospital today

Only one hospital in the east has less overcrowding

Kildare's Naas General Hospital advises patients with non-emergency conditions to seek assistance from other parts of the health service

Four people were treated on trolleys at Naas Hospital today, having come in through the accident and emergency department.

Only one hospital, St James's in Dublin, had fewer (three) people on trolleys. The Mater Hospital was the most overcrowded with 22 on trolleys.

There was no overcrowding in Tullamore Hospital and there were five on trolleys in Portlaoise Hospital.
