A Prosperous, Co Kildare woman has been fondly remembered as a 'truly lovely lady.'
Alice Costello (née Cummins) passed peacefully at home on November 27 last, surrounded by her loving family.
Alice is the beloved wife of the late John (Jack). She is deeply regretted by her loving children Mary, John, Brendan and Katrina, son-in-law Sean, daughters-in-law Siobhan and Narissa, beloved grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, friends, her dear friend and niece Mary and her wonderful carers, especially Ann.
May Alice Rest In Peace
Alice will be reposing at her residence on Sunday from 4-8pm, with prayers at 7pm.
The removal will take place on Monday morning at 10.30am to arrive at the Church of Our Lady & St. Joseph, Prosperous for 11am funeral mass, followed by burial in Killybegs Cemetery, Prosperous.
Tributes paid to Alice on RIP.ie include: “Sincere condolences to the Costello family on the sad passing of your beloved mother, Alice. She was a truly lovely lady whose kindness and warmth touched all who knew her. May her gentle soul rest in eternal peace, and may cherished memories bring you comfort in the days ahead. Thinking of you all at this difficult time and keeping you in my prayers.”

And: “Deepest condolences to Mary, John, Eoghan, Lauren and the extended Costello and Cummins families on the sad passing of Alice. May Alice Rest in Peace.”
While another mourner wrote: “Our deepest sympathy to John Mary Brendan and Katrina on the passing of your lovely mam. Remembering her on her daily walks always smiling and happy. She was a lovely lady. Our condolences also to the Cummins and Daly families. Rest in peace dear Alice.”
And another added: “John, Siobhan, Clara, Garvan, Ronan & Garrett our deepest sympathies to you and all of The Costello family at this heartbreaking time Alice was a beautiful lady that will be forever missed. Rest in peace Alice.”
