A community creche needs to be provided in Kildare's 'fastest growing town'

Kildare County Council 'should zone land to facilitate this'

Land should  be provided to allow a community creche to be built.

It needs to be developed in Naas, "Kildare's fastest growing town", according to Cllr Bill Clear.

He said there is only one community crèche in the entire county and none serving Naas.

"With the significant increase in the number of young children and families in Naas and its surrounding areas, it is essential that provision is made for an affordable, community- based childcare facility as part of future planning and zoning decisions," he said.
