Kildare man fondly remembered as 'a great character'

Tributes have poured in following the passing of a Kildare man, who has been fondly remembered as “a great character.”

Noel Butler, Lios an Rí, Clogherinkoe, Kildare / Donadea, Kildare, late of Painstown, Donadea, Co Kildare passed peacefully at Tallaght Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Noel is predeceased by his parents James and Margaret.

He is deeply regretted and sadly missed by his family wife Margaret, sons Ryan, Oisín, Ruairí and Fionn, sister Kitty, brothers Seamus and Sean, mother-in-law Carmel, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

May Noel Rest in Peace.

Noel will repose at Larkin's Funeral Home Edenderry (Eircode R45 VK24) on Sunday October 19 from 3pm - 6pm with Rosary at 6pm.

The Funeral Mass will take place on Monday at 11am in St. Brigid's Church Clogherinkoe, followed by burial in Mainham Cemetery Clane.

Noel's family would like to thank you for support at this difficult and sad time.

Tributes paid to Noel this week on RIP.ie include: “To Margaret, Ryan, Oisin, Ruairí and Fionn, sending you my sincere condolences on the sad passing of Noel. I remember the craic we used to have up in Hedigan's back in the day. He was a great character, always quick with a joke and up for a laugh. My thoughts are with you all at this very sad time.”

And: “Condolences to The Butler Family. Great memories. RIP Butch.”

While another mourner wrote: “So sorry to hear of Noel passing, condolences to all the family. May he rest in peace”.

And another added: “Deepest sympathy to Margaret and boys and Sean and Seamie on Noel's passing. Fond memories of school and discos over the years. Rest in peace Butch.”
