New president appointed of Newbridge College Union

The annual Remembrance Mass for deceased past pupils and staff takes place soon
Newbridge College in Co Kildare has announced that Emma Scully, Class of 1995, will serve as President of the Newbridge College Union for the Academic Year 2026/27.
Emma takes on the role having previously served as Vice President, bringing with her years of valuable committee experience and a deep commitment to keeping the College’s alumni community connected.
Her appointment represents a unique link between the school’s past and present, as she combines her role as Union President with her work as an English and French teacher at Newbridge College.
With a strong understanding of the College community and a passion for fostering lasting connections among past pupils, Emma is looking forward to an active year for the Union.
Under her leadership, the focus will be on strengthening alumni bonds, bringing past pupils and friends together through key events, and continuing to support the wider College community.
The Union’s programme for the year will provide opportunities for past pupils to reconnect with old friends, celebrate shared memories and maintain their links with Newbridge College.
A number of dates are already in the diary.
The annual Remembrance Mass for deceased past pupils and staff will take place in the College Chapel on Thursday, November 12, at 7 p.m.
The Union’s Annual Alumni & Friends Dinner will follow on Friday, January 22, 2027, providing another opportunity for members of the College community to come together.
