Younger visitors can enjoy face painting and activities at the Moyglare Kids Zone

Families across Kildare are being offered a special ticket deal for the second day of this year’s Irish Champions Festival at the Curragh Racecourse on Sunday, September 13.

The day will feature the Comer Group International Irish St Leger, the final Irish Classic of the season, alongside a programme of family entertainment, live music and activities.

The Curragh is offering two adult tickets for €50 as part of a limited-time family package.

The offer is available in person at the racecourse on Tuesday, September 1 and Wednesday, September 2 between 10am and 4pm.

Under-18s go free at the Curragh, meaning the offer is aimed at making the major racing fixture more accessible to families from Kildare and surrounding areas.

Away from the track, visitors can experience the RACE Simulator, giving racegoers an insight into the skill and precision required to become a jockey.

The Curragh’s Official Equine Ambassador, Korbous, will also be at the racecourse, with visitors able to meet the horse, take photographs and learn more about the life of a racehorse.

Younger visitors can enjoy face painting and activities at the Moyglare Kids Zone, as well as trips on the Curragh Racecourse Train.

The Grace & Glory event will celebrate Irish style, with Mayo content creator and cookbook author Sarah Butler and television presenter and stylist Marietta Doran selecting finalists and an overall winner.

The winner will receive a luxury experience at The Grace, Westport Estate, including a two-night stay in the Grace Kelly Suite.

The Parade of Champions, in association with Treo Eile and sponsored by Moyglare Stud, will also celebrate the second careers of retired racehorses, including Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Native River, Hurricane Ivor, Irish St Leger winner Sonnyboyliston and Ice Cold In Alex.

Complimentary local return buses will operate around Irish Rail train arrival and departure times.

Tickets are available through the Irish Champions Festival website.
