No plans to develop bus transport in this Kildare town
The town is located in South Kildare
Kildare County Council (KCC) has said that it has no plans to develop bus transport offerings in one County Kildare region.
The revelation was heard at the latest Athy Municipal District meeting on Monday, July 20 last.
The subject initially arose when Fianna Fáil Cllr Veralouise Behan submitted the following question: “Can KCC, in conjunction with Local Link, outline its plans to further develop its bus transport offering in the Castledermot area?”
In response, KCC said: “There are currently no specific Transport For Ireland Local Link Kildare South Dublin plans to further develop its bus transport offering in the Castledermot area.”
KCC also pointed out: “Bus routes are agreed between the National Transport Authority and the bus operators.”
