The mini-heatwave Ireland has seen this week is set to continue into the weekend but experts have warned it might not be all it seems.
The country has been bathing in good weather the past few days with high pressure rising and temperatures soaring to the late teens in some places, but it won't be smooth sailing for the whole weekend as rain is set to appear on Thursday evening into Friday morning with widespread cold weather.
Luckily, the good weather is set to return late on Friday and Saturday with highs of 19 degrees in places and will continue throughout the start of next week.

Most places sunny today, Thursday, with a little cloudier on the east coast. Cloudier conditions will develop on the south coast later. Highest temperatures 12 to 19 degrees, warmest once again in the west due to a moderate to fresh easterly wind.
Later this evening and early tonight cloud in the south will thicken bringing rain, moving northwards slowly tonight. Lowest temperatures 6 to 10 degrees in a moderate to fresh easterly wind.
Friday
After a cloudy start sunny weather will develop again tomorrow. Highest temperatures 14 to 19 degrees, warmest further west, in a mostly moderate easterly breeze.
Dry and clear but rather cold in places on Friday night. Lowest temperatures of degrees 2 to 7 degrees, coldest across Ulster, all in moderate to fresh easterly breezes.
Saturday
Dry and sunny with no more than moderate easterly winds. Highest temperatures of 11 to 17 degrees, again coolest in the east and northeast.
Continuing dry and clear overnight on Saturday with lowest temperatures of 1 to 7 degrees, in moderate easterly winds.
Sunday
Sunny once again with highest temperatures of around 11 to 17 degrees, warmest in the west. Moderate to fresh easterly breezes.
Monday
Remaining dry and sunny with highs of 13 to 19 degrees, in only light southeasterly breezes.
