Castldermot's Gavin Farrell holds off the challenge of Allewnood's Eric Judge
Allenwood have been crowned Intermediate Football Champions following their win over Castledermot in Netwatch Cullen Park, a Jack O'Brien point in the 63rd minute was the difference between the sides. O'Brien, who was only subbed on two minutes prior, received the ball and spun his man expertly before coolly sticking his effort between the posts for what would turn out to be the winning score. The game ended 0-11 to 1-7.
Castledermot had a chance to equalise as the clock hit 65 minutes, but free-taker Gavin Keating dropped his effort short of the mark and the referee's whistle soon followed as the travelling fans erupted in delight. The eternal Johnny Doyle was given the Man of the Match award.
