A new cemetery is being planned for north Kildare.
The issue of providing a new burial ground in Confey was raised by local councillor Bernard Caldwell.
Kildare County Council says it is currently investigating the suitability of a potential site near Confey.
Meanwhile, KCC is in the process of providing a columbarium wall in the cemetery. When this installation is complete, the council will look at other works in the cemetery including repairs to the boundary wall.
