Illan House
Coonan Property Maynooth, Celbridge and Naas has sold Straffan's Illan House on a total of 31 acres after public auction on Tuesday, September 25 in the Glenroyal Hotel Maynooth.
This super property which sits on 2.34 acres of lands and is accessed via electric gates with magnificent landscaped lawns attracted good interest prior to the auction.
To a full auction room the bidding was opened with an opening bid of €900,000.
Bidding went in increments of €50,000 and €20,000 bids until it reached €1,100,000.
At this stage the vendors were consulted and it was decided to withdraw the property and negotiate with the highest bidder.
A deal was immediately struck for well in excess of the price it was withdrawn and all parties were happy with the outcome.
The purchasers also excercised their option to acquire the balance of the 31 acres of lands for a fixed price of €15,000 per acre.
The lands are all in grass and have frontage to the River Liffey.
