Irish designer Orla Kiely has shut her Kildare Village store, with the loss of six jobs.

A statement posted on her website said the company has ceased trading since September 17 2018.

Two retailers in London will also shut, as well as the online business.

The statement adds that the Home and Design licensing businnes will not be impacted, and its selection of accessories and homewares will continue to be sold through its distribution partners.

Kiely opened the shop in Kildare Village in October 2017.
