It will be a happy Christmas ahead for Kildare woman Christina Fagan, who scooped over €500 worth of free groceries as winner of the recent Lidl trolley dash.
For three weeks in the run up to the festive season, Lidl customers could buy with their shopping a raffle ticket with the top prize of a trolley dash. All proceeds went to the retailer’s charity partners for this year, Kildare-based children’s organisation Barretstown.
The Newbridge store’s dash took place last Saturday morning, with lucky Christine given just two minutes to sprint around the shop and snaffle as many groceries as she could… and she ended up with €524.90 worth of loot.
