Broadcaster and barrister Joe Brolly has published a series of tweets blasting Israel alongside a number of distressing videos from Gaza.
One of the clips showed Al Jazeera journalist Wael Al Dahdouh crying over the body of his wife who had been killed in an apparent Israeli airstrike. Al Dahdouh had earlier reported on the strikes for the news service, not knowing that his wife, son and daughter had died in the blast.
Brolly posted: "Israel is a rogue state, completely out of control, acting outside all norms of morality and international law. Their leaders must be investigated and prosecuted in the ICC for war crimes and crimes against humanity. It is not anti-semitic to speak the truth. Do not be intimidated."
Joe later shared another distressing video of a baby being pulled from the rubble in Gaza.
He said: "A Palestinian baby is pulled from the rubble by rescuers, bloodied and dazed. Who knows if she will live or die. The Israeli ambassador said just now on Virgin, 'Blame Hamas. Why are you accusing Israel?'"
The Guardian reported that the Al Jazeera’s bureau chief in Gaza had fled his home with his family to a refugee camp in central Gaza before the bombings on Tuesday.
The blasts came amid "a surge of Israeli attacks reported to have killed hundreds of people" according to the reports.
