Applegreen due to open new €15m Naas Ball Service area in Kildare
The premises aims to create 150 new jobs
Irish retailer Applegreen is preparing to open its highly-anticipated €15 million Naas Ball Service area next week.
The new site, which aims to create 150 new jobs, will initially include the food outlets Popeyes and Taco Bell outlets, M&S Food, Crafted Kitchen & Deli, Braeburn Coffee, along with an Applegreen forecourt and convenience store.
The Popeyes outlet in Naas will notably be the first Popeyes Drive-Thru throughout the entirety of the Republic of Ireland.
Applegreen also revealed that it will open more drive-thru brands at the new Naas site in the coming months.
Furthermore, the business announced that the he site will have eight Applegreen Fast Charge ultra-fast EV chargers, with a total of 16 charging points, as well as a separate truck stop for HGV fuelling.
Naas is the second major new service area that Applegreen has opened in Ireland in the past 12 months.
Last September, it launched a new €15m site at Junction 6 on the M3 in Dunshaughlin, County Meath.
SPECIAL OFFERS
There will be a number of special offers for customers when the new Naas site opens its doors.
As part of the opening day excitement, fried chicken fans will be in with a chance of bagging some prizes from Popeyes, including:
- Free Chicken Sandwiches for a year for the first three customers on foot
- A free Chicken Sandwich for the first 100 customers
- Free exclusive Popeyes merchandise for the first 50 customers in the queue
Popeyes will also have entertainment for customers on the opening day, with a brass band onsite in the morning and a DJ in the afternoon.
In addition, Taco Bell is offering customers at the new Naas outlet a series of hot and spicy prizes:
- Free Burrito meals for a year for the first three customers
- A free Taco for the first 100 customers
- Free Taco Bell merchandise for the first 50 customers.
Lastly, Crafted Kitchen & Deli is celebrating its first day of operations in Naas with the following offers:
- A free full Irish Breakfast for the first 10 customers
- Food sampling throughout the day
Applegreen will open the new €15m roadside service area close to the Naas Ball, at Junction 9 on the M7, on Tuesday, September 29, 2026.
It will officially open at 9.30am.
