Seats and benches for canalside town

Public seating and benches will be provided in Sallins.

Naas Mayor Bill Clear told a municipal district meeting that there is a shortage of these facilities in the town.

He predicted that a lot of people will visit Sallins this summer because of the greenway opening.

According to Kildare County Council it’s working with Sallins Tidy Towns to install two benches on the main street, at the St. Brigid's Sculpture.

It is also planned to put in additional seating.
