One of the exhibits
The Naas Art group is staging an environmental exhibition at the Naas town centre library which runs until May 11.
It has a number of themes including biodiversity, damage to waterways, endangered species, reduce, reuse, recycle and sustainability.
The participating artists are Michele Lenehan and some of her students in Blessington.
One of the exhibits at the forthcoming Environmental Exhibition will be a collage of a fish whose shiny scales are made entirely from old CDs.
Michele Lenehan , a member of Naas Art Group and a teacher in St Mary's Junior School, Blessington, made the collage with pupils from the school.
As well as old CDs gathered from around the school, tin foil from school lunches, old art catalogues, straws and styrofoam packaging were used to depict the underwater scene.
The exhibition is open between 10am and 5pm with late opening on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday to 8pm.
