Brian Flanagan and his management have announced the Kildare senior football team to play Westmeath in tonight's 2026 Dioralyte O’Byrne Cup final in Cedral St. Conleth's Park, Newbridge at 7.30pm.

KILDARE: Cian Burke; Harry O'Neill, Padraic Spillane, Ryan Burke; James Harris, Eoin Lawlor, Brian Byrne; Kevin Feely, Brendan Gibbons; Brian McLoughlin, Alex Beirne, Callum Bolton; Sam Doran, Ben Loakman, Eoin Cully.

BENCH: Didier Cordonnier, Rob Fitzgerald, Liam Kelly, Mark Dempsey, Mick Spillane, Dara Crowley, Daragh Mangan, Niall Dolan, Luke Killian, Darragh Swords, Ryan Sinkey.

The Lilies are coming off a nine-point win over a much-changed Dublin but the overriding sentiment from their pre-season semi-final clash was that any win against The Dubs is a welcome one.

Westmeath meanwhile were putting 5-10 on the board against an Offaly side who gave Kildare plenty of trouble last year. Brandon Kelly hit 2-1 for the The Lake County while Luke Loughlin, who Kildare fans will remember from his exceptional performance in their Leinster Championship meeting last year, registered 0-3. To complete the scoring breakdown of the full-forward line, Danny McCartan grabbed a couple of goals of his own.
