BREAKING: Traffic delays for fans on their way to Kildare weekend concert

Music fans queue in their vehicles to get into Palmerstown House

There are significant traffic delays as music fans make their way to the popular Forever Young music event at the Palmerstown House estate, near Johnstown, Naas.

The Police are among the groups who will be performing and there were police outside the venue this afternoon as traffic built up along the route to the concert.

There was traffic congestion on both sides of the road as concerts goers in cars, vans, caravans and camper vans made their way to the venue.

Motorists are advised that there will be increased traffic at junction 8 on the N7 over the weekend and particularly this afternoon.

The band also include Cry Before Dawn - and if the delays persist some folk may be crying before they even get there

The event runs until Sunday.
