A garda spokesperson has said that Kildare gardaí are investigating all of the circumstances surrounding the discovery of the body of a male in Clogheen, Monasterevin.
The body was discovered at approximately 9pm yesterday (Sunday, May 21 last).
The spokesperson said: "The deceased was removed to Naas Mortuary where a post-mortem is due to take place at a later date.
"The results of the post mortem will determine the course of the investigation."
They continued: "The local Coroner has been notified.
"The scene remains closed at this time."
