Gardai hunt for car used in Clane robbery

Gardai are hunting for a car used during a robbery in Clane last Sunday evening.

They are also seeking witnesses to the robbery at the petrol station shop at the Esso service station at the Woods Centre, at about 8.30pm.

Two men entered the forecourt of the petrol station in a stolen yellow Skoda Citigo car. Both men entered the shop. One man stood at the door keeping a look out armed with what appeared to be a knife. A second man went to the counter, threatened two female staff with a hammer and left with a quantity of cash. No one was injured during the incident.

The car used in the incident was a 141 D reg Skoda Citigo. It was stolen on December 1 in Balbriggan, Co. Dublin.

Anyone with any information about the incident or who saw this car between December 1 and 11 is asked to contact Naas Garda Station on 045 884300.
