And now, the family of the late Ryan Weir Gibbons has released a new appeal for information relating to the crime online.

Posted to the Facebook account of the late Ryan's father, Edward Gibbons, the post reads as follows: "It has now been four and a half months since our son Ryan was needlessly killed, and our family is still searching for answers.

"We are appealing to anyone who may have any information, no matter how small it may seem, to please come forward.

"If anyone was parked outside the Kildare House Hotel on the night of October 25, 2025 between 3am and 5am, please check your dash cam footage. The hotel may also be able to contact guests who stayed that night."

Ryan's family continued: "We are also asking anyone who was passing or driving by Kildare town Garda Station or the entrance to McGee [sic] Terrace during those hours to please think back or check any recordings you may have.

"Someone may have seen or captured something that could help bring answers and justice for Ryan.

"Anyone with information is asked to contact Kildare town Garda Station on 045 527730 or the Garda Confidential Line."

They concluded: "Please share this post so it can reach the people who might have the information we need."
