Three shop robberies which all occurred in North Kildare may be linked, according to a member of An Garda Síochána (AGS).
The comment was made by Garda Christopher Fallon, who appeared as a guest on one of KFM's radio programmes earlier today (January 28).
He told host Hannah Kelly that the first incident occurred at the Londis shop located on the Main Street of Prosperous on Friday, January 23 last.
Gda Fallon said that the perpetrator held the shop staff up at knifepoint and made demands for money.
Following this, the next day (Saturday, January 24 last), a robbery occurred at a Daybreak shop located in Coill Dubh.

Lastly, another robbery occurred at the aforementioned Londis shop, also on January 24 last, and the perpetrator in this incident also brandished a wrench and made demands for money.
In addition to mentioning that the three incidents may be linked, he said that gardaí are also looking into the potential participation of a grey-coloured Land Rover Discovery vehicle with the following registration plate: '12-W-410'.
Although Gda Fallon maintained that gardaí "are following a definitive line of enquiry" and "have made a lot of progress" in investigating the three crimes, he still urged anyone with information relating to the three incidents to contact Leixlip Garda Station on 01 666 7800.
