A garda investigation is underway following reports of gunshots at a County Kildare housing estate.
When asked about the incident by the Leinster Leader, a garda spokesperson responded: "Gardaí are investigating all of the circumstances surrounding an incident where a firearm was discharged at a residential location in Newbridge, County Kildare on Monday, January 26 last at approximately 8.45pm.
"No injuries were reported at the time.
"A technical examination of the scene has been conducted."
The spokesperson added that investigations are ongoing.
