Further details about the alleged crime were detailed by Garda Shane Smyth during a guest appearance on KFM earlier today.

He explained that the alleged incident occurred in the Rosconnell region of Newbridge.

Gda Smyth also claimed that the perpetrator produced a blade during the course of the alleged crime. However, he added that no one was injured during the alleged incident.

In addition, the alleged crime was discussed on social media, with the Rosconnell Community Residents page on Facebook claiming that there has been "a lot of strange people hanging around [in the area] at the moment".
