A café located within a popular County Kildare venue has announced its temporary Christmastime closure.

Taking to social media to inform the public about the closure, The Strand Café, which is located inside the Riverbank Arts Centre in Newbridge, explained: "Our café will close for the Christmas holiday season on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at 3pm and will reopen on Monday January 5 [206] at 10am."

The Strand Café added: "We wish you all a merry Christmas and a healthy happy new year!"

In related news, another Newbridge-based coffee spot, Spresso, also announced its temporary Christmastime closure earlier this week.
