A GAA Club based in County Kildare intends to construct a new gym in its grounds.
According to the planning permission application, which is currently with Kildare County Council (KCC), Round Towers GAA Club is seeking to construct the facility at Saint Brigid's Park in Kildare town.
The description contained within the application notes that the Club is seeking permission for "the construction of single storey extension to the south-west / rear of the existing clubhouse" in order to accommodate new gym.
In addition, the Club is seeking permission from KCC for "all ancillary and associated works related to the proposed development".

The date received is listed as November 24 last, while the submission-by and due dates are listed as January 6, 2026 and January 27, 2026 respectively.
Round Towers GAA was established back in 1887, as noted by the Club on its official Facebook page.
The Club also claims to have over 200 members, which includes players, Committee members and general supporting members.
It is represented by 15 separate teams, ranging from its U-6s team to its Senior Men's team.
