Kildare's main hospital among the most overcrowded in Ireland today

There were more people on trolleys in Naas than any other hospital in the eastern region

Some 40 people were treated on trolleys at Naas Hospital today, making it the most overcrowded facility in the eastern region.

By contrast there were four patients on trolleys at Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown.

There was no overcrowding at Tullamore Hospital and there a single patient on a trolley at Portlaoise Hospital.
