A takeaway driver working in County Kildare was robbed by two males, according to a member of An Garda Síochána (AGS).

The incident was highlighted on KFM yesterday (November 5 last) by Garda John Joe O'Connell, who appeared as a guest on one of the station's programmes.

Gda O'Connell explained that the crime took place shortly before midnight on Monday, November 3 last.

He said that the driver was working on Anne Street in Prosperous when they were approached by a male. A second male then arrived and the pair proceeded to rob the driver.

Gda O'Connell added that the men stole a sum of cash from the driver, in addition to some food.
