Naas Roads Policing Unit (NaasRPU) carried out speed checks in Ballymore Eustace, Kildare recently when one particular driver caught their attention.
Once stopped, gardai determined that the motorist had:
No insurance;
Was driving unaccompanied on a learner permit;
A very badly worn front tyre;
No NCT – the NCT had expired over six months previously.
The vehicle was impounded and the driver handed Fixed Charge Penalty Notices (FCPNs) totalling €580 as well as three penalty points.
