A free men's walk and bog tour, which is being organised by a cardiac health group, is due to take place soon in County Kildare.

The event, which also includes lunch, a drumming workshop and a ladies creative workshop, is being organised by Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) Ireland, a national charity which supports patients and families who have lost someone to sudden cardiac death.

It follows after CRY Ireland held its free Friends of CRY Day in North Kildare last month.

Explaining the nature of the upcoming event, CRY Ireland said: "If you have been affected by the loss of a loved one or if you are living with someone with a diagnosis of an inherited cardiac condition, join us for a Men's Walk, Bog Tour, Lunch and Drumming Workshop."

The group added: "Why not bring a friend to the ladie's creative workshop at the same time?"

This event will be free, however, it should be noted that registration is required. Places are also limited.

It will take place on Sunday, October 19, 2025 at Solas Bhríde, Tully East, Kildare (R51 Y281).

The event will begin at 9.30am and run until 4pm.

Anyone interested in registering for this event can contact Elaine Whelan on 087 217 4205, or email ewhelan@cry.ie.
