A group based in County Kildare has called on children to donate homemade ghost decorations.

The call was made this morning (October 9) by Samhain Newbridge, a group which aims to help locals celebrate the Halloween season.

It follows after the group announced last week that it is seeking donations of Halloween decorations from the public.

Explaining its latest appeal, Samhain Newbridge said in a social media post: "Some of you may have seen our beautiful homemade ghosts in Market Square [in Newbridge] today as you were on the way to school with the kids or on your way to work.

"We'd love to have some more, so if you and the kids want to makes one its very simple a plastic bucket a bit of white sheet and some tape or paint for the eyes."

Samhain Newbridge added: "Make them at home then give us a shout and we'll pop them up."
