Naas Sports Group recently celebrated its 25th anniversary with a gathering at Fletchers in the town centre.

The event brought together past and present directors and representatives of the three clubs that make up the group: Naas Hockey Club, Naas Athletic Club and Naas AFC.

To mark the occasion, the group produced a commemorative booklet celebrating the combined efforts of the clubs, the success of the sports centre and the important contribution of partners including Pobal and Kildare County Council.

The evening was a valuable opportunity to bring together people from different stages of the group's history, many of whom had never met but who share a commitment to Naas Sports Group and the wider community.

John Brady, the current chairperson was presented with an award as the longest serving director of NSG and he has been on the board for 25 years.

There was also a presentation to Dermot Hassey as the longest serving staff member at NSG.
